Dex paid meaning: what the paid token profile proves, and what it does not
What "dex paid" means in memecoin chats, what the team actually bought, how traders read it, and why a paid profile is not a safety check.
Published:
"Dex paid" means the team behind a token has paid DEX Screener, a token charting site, for its Enhanced Token Info profile, which adds a logo, description and social links to the token's page. It shows someone spent money on presentation; it does not show the token is safe, audited or endorsed.
What dex paid means
Dex paid means the team behind a token has paid DEX Screener, a site that charts tokens trading on decentralized exchanges, for a product called Enhanced Token Info. Once the order is processed, the token's page shows the project's logo, a header image, a description and links to its website and socials, instead of a bare chart with an address.
Some context explains why anyone pays. DEX Screener's documentation says tokens are listed automatically as soon as they are added to a liquidity pool and have at least one transaction, and that token details can also be pulled in from outside lists. Enhanced Token Info is the paid shortcut: the marketplace page sells it as a way to update a token page quickly with accurate info and socials, and adds an option to declare wallets that hold locked supply so the market cap displays correctly. When we checked in October 2026, it was listed from $299 against a struck-through $499, paid in crypto or by card, with most orders processed within minutes and up to 12 hours.
So "dex paid" is a fact about money spent on a profile. Nothing more is verified by it.
How dex paid is used
Tone: neutral as a checklist item, mildly praise when it shows a dev who bothered, warning or mock when people point out how little it proves. Forms you will see: "dex paid?", "dex paid check", "dex not paid", and "pay for the dex", which one guide uses for paying to list or advertise token info on charting sites rather than paying trading fees.
Three illustrative posts (written for this page, not quoted from anyone):
- neutral: "Dex paid, socials live, CA pinned. At least the dev showed up."
- warning: "Dex paid costs a few hundred dollars. A rug can afford a few hundred dollars."
- mock: "Dex paid four minutes after launch. Somebody had this planned before the coin existed."
Why traders look at it at all: in a market with thousands of new tokens a day, a paid profile filters out the laziest launches. A dex paid checker site states it plainly: paying is not a guarantee that a project is safe, it only shows the team invested in visibility.
What dex paid does not tell you
- Who holds the supply. A paid profile can sit on a token where a few wallets own most of the coins.
- Whether the contract can still change. That is the question behind renounced contracts and revoked authorities.
- Whether you can sell. A honeypot can have the nicest profile on the page.
- Whether the liquidity stays. Being rugged has nothing to do with the profile.
- Who the team is. The profile shows what the team chose to write.
Where dex paid comes from
The phrase follows from the product: "dex" is short for DEX Screener here, and "paid" refers to the Enhanced Token Info order. When traders started saying it is not documented, so we give no date.

Not to be confused with
- Paying a DEX: swapping on a decentralized exchange costs trading and network fees. "Dex paid" has nothing to do with them.
- Boosts and ads: the same marketplace also sells token advertising and placement in its trending bar, and its API lists boosted tokens separately. A paid profile, a boost and an ad are three different purchases.
- Verified or audited: no code review comes with the profile.

Questions
What does dex paid mean on a memecoin?
It means someone, usually the developer, has bought the Enhanced Token Info profile for that token on DEX Screener, so its page shows a logo, banner, description and social links instead of a bare chart. Traders read it as a small sign of effort.
Does dex paid mean a token is safe?
No. Paying for a profile proves only that someone spent a few hundred dollars on visibility. A scam token can pay too. Safety depends on other checks: who holds the supply, whether the contract still has an owner or active authorities, whether the liquidity can be pulled, and whether selling works.
How much does dex paid cost?
When we checked the DEX Screener marketplace in October 2026, Enhanced Token Info was listed from $299, shown against a struck-through $499, payable in crypto or by card. Prices are set by the site and can change.
How do you check if a token is dex paid?
Open the token's page on DEX Screener and see whether it shows the project's logo, description and links. DEX Screener's public API also has an endpoint that returns the paid orders for a given token address, which is what third-party checkers read.
