Larp test: six quizzes on the word everyone is using

Larp is the internet's word for pretending to be something you are not. These six tests turn it into a game: a personality quiz, a crypto knowledge test, ten staged screens to judge, a checker for your own posts and two fandom quizzes. Each ends with a result card you can save.

Pick a test

Every test is for fun, not proof. Answers stay in your browser: no account, nothing sent, saved or stored. Two of the quizzes are fan-made: they are not affiliated with Jujutsu Kaisen or with any anime series, producer or publisher, and the LinkedIn checker is not affiliated with LinkedIn.

What does larp mean?

LARP is short for live action role play: people dressing up and acting out a character in a real place, usually inside a game with rules and a story. The hobby is older than the internet and entirely wholesome. The slang version took the word and shrank it. To larp, online, means to play a character in front of an audience that cannot check: richer, busier, more skilled or more successful than you are.

The word has a second life as a gentle insult. Calling someone a larper is often a joke about a staged gym photo, a borrowed car or a profile that sounds bigger than the person. It turns into a real criticism only when the performance is used to get something: money, trust, followers or a job. That is the difference between a costume and a con, and these tests stay on the costume side of the line.

Each corner of the internet has its own version. In crypto, larping is wearing a balance as a costume, which is why a wallet screenshot proves so little. On LinkedIn it is a career told as a trailer. In fandoms it is acting out a world instead of only enjoying it. The six tests follow those corners, and every one is built from original questions written for this page.

Nothing here collects anything. Scores are calculated in your browser, there is no account, and the page only adds anonymous start and finish counts like every page of this site. The result cards carry the same footer on purpose: for fun, not proof. A card shows how you answered a quiz, never what you own, earn or are.

If you want to larp on purpose, the honest way is to make the prop and say it is a prop. Skits, parody accounts and mockups for videos are all part of the culture, and they work because everyone knows. The tests below are the other side of the same joke: finding out where you stand.

Questions about the larp tests

What does larp mean?

Larp is short for live action role play. Online, to larp means to pretend to be something you are not, usually richer, busier or more successful, in front of people who cannot check. Among friends it is mostly a joke.

Are these larp tests accurate?

They are for fun, not proof. The scores come from simple rules written for each test, and a result card shows how you answered a quiz, nothing more. No test here can say who you really are.

Do the tests save my answers?

No. Everything is calculated in your browser. There is no account and nothing is sent, saved or stored. The site only counts anonymous starts and finishes, like every page of it.

Which test should I take first?

Start with Am I a larper if you want the broad version, or the crypto larp test if you want something with right answers. The fandom quizzes are the quickest and the most shareable.
