Larp wallet for Android: no APK, installed from Chrome
My Larp Wallet has no APK and no Play Store listing: Chrome installs it from its own address in two taps. Google's current menu labels, the Samsung Internet and Edge routes, the fixes when nothing shows up, and why an APK from an unknown site is the risky route.

My Larp Wallet has no APK and no Google Play listing: Chrome installs it as a web app. Open your wallet's address in Chrome and tap Add in the wallet's install bar, or use Chrome's three-dot menu, Install and create shortcut (Add to Home screen on older versions), then Install.
The 60-second version
My Larp Wallet is a web app: no APK, no Play Store listing, nothing to download. Your wallet lives at its own address, mylarpwallet.com/yourname, and Chrome installs it from there. Once your wallet exists, this takes under a minute:
- Open your wallet's address in Chrome, signed in to your account.
- Tap Add in the wallet's own bar, Add to home screen.
- Confirm Install in Chrome's box.
No bar, or you closed it? Chrome's menu does the same job: the three dots on the right of the address bar, Install and create shortcut, then Install. Either way, the icon lands on your home screen and opens the wallet full screen, without Chrome's address bar.
Install the larp wallet from Chrome, step by step
With the wallet's Add button
Chrome tells a page when it is ready to be installed, usually a second or so after it loads. My Larp Wallet keeps that moment for you instead of letting Chrome's own mini bar pop up while you type, and shows its own bar, Add to home screen, with an Add button. Tap Add, then confirm in Chrome's box.
From Chrome's menu
- Tap More, the three dots on the right of the address bar.
- Tap Install and create shortcut, the label in Google's current help. Older versions of Chrome call it Add to Home screen.
- Tap Install, not Create shortcut, and follow the prompt.
Install and Create shortcut are not the same thing. Google's help says a shortcut carrying the Chrome logo opens in Chrome: the address bar stays, and it lands in every screenshot. Install gives the wallet its own icon and its own full-screen window.
Samsung Internet, Edge and other browsers
| Browser | Shortest route | From the menu |
|---|---|---|
| Chrome | The wallet's Add button | Three dots, Install and create shortcut (or Add to Home screen), Install |
| Samsung Internet | The wallet's Add button | Three lines at the bottom right, Add page to, Home screen |
| Microsoft Edge | The wallet's Add button | Menu at the bottom right, Add to phone, Install |
| Firefox and others | No Add button: the bar shows manual steps | Menu, then Add to Home screen or Install app; if neither is there, use Chrome |
Samsung Internet and Edge support the same install prompt as Chrome, so the wallet's Add button works there too. Menu labels move from one version to the next, which is why the button is the shorter way: it uses whatever your browser offers. On Edge, Microsoft's forum explains that Add to phone installs a site as an app when the site has one; the wallet does, so you get the app, not a bookmark.
What you get on the home screen
- An app icon named My Larp Wallet, on the home screen and in the app list. Google's help says an installed web app is removed like any app: Settings, Apps, See all apps, then Uninstall.
- Full screen, in portrait. No address bar, no tabs. The launch screen is black, like the wallet.
- Your phone's own status bar. The wallet draws none, so the time, battery and signal are your phone's.
- Live prices for SOL, ETH, BTC, HYPE and USDC, refreshed every 4 seconds; a custom token keeps the price you type.
- No permission requested. No notifications, contacts, SMS, accessibility or overlay access. Uninstalling the icon does not delete your wallet: it is saved on your account.
If it does not install
- You are inside Instagram, TikTok or Messenger. Their built-in browser cannot install anything. Use its Open in browser item, or copy the address shown in the wallet's bar and paste it into Chrome.
- No Add button. Give the page two seconds: Chrome decides late. Still nothing? Use the menu route above.
- It opens with Chrome's address bar. You made a shortcut. Remove it, then choose Install.
- Install is missing from the menu. The wallet may already be installed: look in your app list.
- You closed the bar. The wallet's Settings has an Add to home screen line that brings the steps back.
- The icon opens on a sign-in screen. Sign in once with the same account. The address is tied to your account and your plan, so the link alone opens nothing.
Why a larp wallet APK from an unknown site is dangerous
An APK is the file an Android app ships in. Google Play checks the ones it distributes. One downloaded from a link installs only after you allow your browser or file manager to install unknown apps, which removes the checkpoint that would have stopped it. Here is what is on record about that route:
- It is where fraud apps come from. Studying major fraud malware families that abuse four sensitive permissions (reading and receiving SMS, notification access and Accessibility, which reads the screen), Google found that over 95 percent of installations came from internet sideloading. In February 2024 it began piloting automatic blocking of such sideloads in Singapore.
- Wallet-shaped files have done it before. ESET's 2022 research found trojanized wallet apps for Android, spread through more than 40 copycat websites, that sent seed phrases to the attackers. In 2025, Kaspersky's SparkKitty reached Android through Google Play and third-party sites and uploaded photos, looking for screenshots of recovery phrases.
- Android now checks who made the app. Since September 30, 2026, developer verification protects users on certified devices running Android 7 or later in Brazil, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand. Google plans to extend it to all apps on certified devices in 2027, with an advanced flow for power users who still want to sideload apps from unverified developers.
- Play Protect is a net, not a guarantee. It checks apps when they are installed, scans the phone periodically, and can disable or remove a harmful app; it may also offer to scan an app from outside Google Play that it has never seen. No scan makes a file safe if it asks you for a recovery phrase.
What about a free larp wallet APK?
The word free in that search changes nothing about the file. It still needs the unknown-apps switch, still skips review, and is still a stranger's code running with whatever you grant it. We did not check any particular site offering one, and we link to none. My Larp Wallet is a paid web app and has never published an APK: any file under its name is someone else's.
Why a web app avoids the problem
Chrome installs a web app without the unknown-apps switch, because it is the website itself, running inside the browser. ESET's 2024 research shows the flip side: phishing banking sites were installed the same way, with no warning at all. So judge any web app, ours included, by what it asks for. My Larp Wallet asks for an account and a payment; it never asks for a recovery phrase, a private key, a wallet connection or a device permission. Anything called a larp wallet that does is built to reach a real one. The APK, IPA, App Store or browser comparison covers every platform, and telling a simulator from a scam goes further.
A mockup, not a wallet
My Larp Wallet is a crypto wallet app simulator: you compose a wallet screen (tokens, amounts, avatar, accent color, wallet name) and it opens full screen on your phone. Every amount is typed in; only the market prices are real. It holds no funds, connects to no blockchain, and our terms forbid passing a screen off as a real balance. What a larp wallet is explains where a mockup ends and deception starts.
Your next step
On your Android phone, open the My Larp Wallet homepage in Chrome: it shows the wallet, its live prices and its settings. Tap Get my wallet, create your account and pick a plan; it is a paid app. Your wallet then opens at mylarpwallet.com/yourname, and one tap on Add puts it on your home screen.
On an iPhone, the Safari steps are different; on a PC or Mac the wallet runs in the browser while you compose the screen.

Questions
Is there a larp wallet APK?
Not from My Larp Wallet. It publishes no APK and has no Google Play listing. The wallet is a web app at your own address, mylarpwallet.com/yourname, which Chrome installs on the home screen. Any APK offered under that name was made by someone else.
How do I install a larp wallet on Android?
Open your wallet's address in Chrome and tap Add in the wallet's own Add to home screen bar, then confirm Install. Without the bar, tap the three dots on the right of the address bar, then Install and create shortcut (Add to Home screen on older versions), then Install.
Is a free larp wallet APK safe to install?
Treat it as unsafe. Any APK from a website needs you to allow unknown apps first, skips Google Play review, and Google found that over 95 percent of installations of major fraud malware families came from internet sideloading. Wallet-shaped APKs have been caught sending seed phrases to attackers.
Why does my larp wallet open with Chrome's address bar?
Because a shortcut was created instead of an app. Google's help says shortcuts carrying the Chrome logo open in Chrome. Remove the icon, open the wallet again, and choose Install rather than Create shortcut.
Does the larp wallet work in Samsung Internet or Edge?
Yes. Both support the same install prompt as Chrome, so the wallet's Add button works. From the menus: in Samsung Internet, the three lines at the bottom right, Add page to, Home screen; in Edge, the menu at the bottom right, then Add to phone.
Compose the screen instead of describing it
Your tokens, your amounts, your accent, laid out in the browser, then opened on your phone at your own address. A mockup, and we never pretend otherwise.
- Unlimited tokens, amounts and accents
- Add it to your home screen; it opens like an app
- Live market prices that keep moving
- Your own address, mylarpwallet.com/you
