Larp, flex and crypto culture
The word larp, from the hobby to the insult, and everything around it: how a rich life is staged prop by prop, why people flex money online, what a PnL card hides, and the slang of crypto Twitter. Sourced, dated, and written for people who want to recognise a larp as much as for people who make one for a skit. My Larp Wallet is a crypto wallet app simulator: every screen it makes is a mockup, and our terms forbid passing one off as a real balance.

A dated timeline from the first foam-sword games of 1977 to the 2026 slang spike, and a table of nine senses with an example sentence for each.
Larping vs posing, performative, grifting and cosplay: the differences
Seven ways of playing a part, compared on the same five questions, with one example each, then a six-question test for the point where larping turns into lying.
