Crypto wallet screen for TikTok: how to film it, hook it and label it
A crypto wallet screen for TikTok is a prop for a skit, a reaction or a story, and it has to look right in a vertical frame and read in three seconds. Filming at 9:16, screen recording versus filming the phone, the first-three-seconds hook, and how to label it as a skit using TikTok's own Community Guidelines. We make My Larp Wallet.
Published:
For TikTok, film the wallet screen vertically at 9:16, 1080 by 1920, by screen recording the phone so nothing is cropped. Put the number that carries the story on screen in the first three seconds. Label the clip as a skit, because a staged balance is a prop and never proof of money.
What the screen has to do on TikTok
We make My Larp Wallet, so this page is written by a tool maker for people who film with one. On TikTok, a wallet screen has a single job: make a viewer understand the joke, the story or the reveal in about three seconds, on a small vertical screen, usually with the sound off. Everything below serves that.
A larp wallet, also called a crypto wallet app simulator, is an app that shows a believable crypto wallet screen built from the balances you type in, for videos, skits, pitch decks and demos. It holds no funds and touches no blockchain.
Film it vertically: 9:16, 1080 by 1920
TikTok's own pages give 1080 by 1920 pixels at a 9:16 ratio as the common recommended size for vertical video. Other ratios upload, but they show smaller in the app. A phone is already 9:16 or close to it, so a screen recording of a wallet app fills the frame with no bars.
- Keep the key number central. The app draws buttons and captions near the edges. Keep what matters away from the very top and bottom.
- Use large amounts of contrast. A dark wallet look reads well on a bright street scene or a dim room alike.
- Do not shrink the screen to a corner. On a phone, a tiny phone inside a phone is unreadable.
Screen recording or filming the phone
| Method | What you get | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Screen recording on the same phone | A clean, sharp, vertical capture with no glare | The status bar shows your real clock and notifications. Turn on Do Not Disturb first |
| Filming the phone with a second device | A real hand and a real room, which suits a skit | Glare, moire lines and shaky text. Lock the exposure |
| Recording on a computer | Long takes, easy to cut | A browser frame breaks the app illusion. Prefer the phone route |
Open the wallet from its home screen icon before recording, so it fills the screen with no browser bars. Our guide to recording a wallet screen covers the setup, and showing a wallet on stream covers the live version. On iPhone, Apple's screen recording is in Control Center.
The first three seconds
The structure that works is boring and reliable: result first, explanation after. Open already on the screen, with one number that carries the story. Add a short caption that sets the scene, not one that explains the joke. Then move: scroll, tap a token, let the total shift.
- Second 0 to 1: the wallet screen, number visible, already in motion.
- Second 1 to 3: a caption or a voice line that frames who you are playing.
- After that: the beat, the reaction, the twist.

Label it as a skit
This is the part creators skip and then regret. TikTok's Community Guidelines, in the Integrity and Authenticity section we read on 31 October 2026, say creators must label AI-generated or significantly edited content that shows realistic scenes or people, and that unlabeled content may be removed, restricted or labeled by TikTok. A staged wallet is not AI video, but it is the same principle: a viewer should not take a staged scene for a real one.
TikTok's Regulated Goods, Services and Commercial Activities page, in the version we found, lists financial scams such as fake investment offers and get-rich-quick schemes among prohibited content. We read it as a reason to keep three habits.
- Say it is a skit. An on-screen note and a caption line, such as "skit, not real balance".
- Do not promise gains. No "buy this", no "I made this, you can too", no link to anything you are selling that depends on the balance being real.
- Do not use a real person's identity. Play a character.
We are not lawyers and this is not legal advice. Read the current guidelines yourself, because platforms change them, and rules differ if you are paid to promote something.
Getting the screen
You can build a wallet screen in a design tool for a still, or use a larp wallet app for one that moves. My Larp Wallet is a paid web app, monthly or once for life. You add it to your home screen, type your tokens and amounts, and it shows live prices, a total and a 24h change. It has one dark wallet look of our own, with a lavender accent, and does not copy any brand's interface or logo. The demo opens in your browser with no account, so you can test how it films before you pay. More creator uses are on the creators page.
A prop, never proof
A wallet screen on TikTok is a prop for a skit, a story or a demo. It is never proof of a balance, and it must not be used to ask anyone for money, trust or a follow on false grounds. Using our app that way breaks our terms.

Questions
What size should a TikTok wallet video be?
Vertical, 9:16, at 1080 by 1920 pixels, which TikTok's own pages give as the common recommended size. A phone screen recording is already that shape, so you rarely need to crop. Keep the text and the number you want seen away from the very top and bottom edges, where the app draws its own buttons.
Is there a TikTok wallet simulator?
TikTok has none of its own. People use a larp wallet app, which draws a wallet screen from balances you type in, and then record it. Ours is a web app you add to your home screen. It holds no funds and touches no blockchain, so the result is a prop.
Do I have to say it is a skit?
You should, and it protects you. TikTok's guidelines ask creators to label AI-generated or significantly edited realistic content, and ban financial scams such as fake investment offers. A clear on-screen note that it is a skit, plus a caption, keeps a staged balance from reading as a real one.
What hook works in the first 3 seconds?
Start on the number or the reaction, not on setup. A wallet screen with one striking line and a short caption does the job: the viewer reads it and decides in about a second whether to stay. Open on the screen already in motion, then explain.
Can I promise gains or give advice in the video?
Do not. TikTok lists get-rich-quick schemes and fake investment offers among prohibited financial content in the version we read, and a staged balance with a promise attached can look like exactly that. Keep the clip about the story, not about what viewers should buy.
Is a wallet screen on TikTok proof I own crypto?
No. A larp wallet screen is a prop built from typed numbers. It is never proof of a balance, and it must not be used to get anyone to send money or trust you.
