MetaMask larp wallet: what people mean, and how to do it honestly

Searches for MetaMask larp, MetaMask simulator and fake MetaMask balance mix three different wants: a skit prop, a design look and, sometimes, a scam. What each means, why a balance screen in a video must be labeled, what we offer (a dark wallet look of our own, not MetaMask's), and MetaMask's own warning about its Secret Recovery Phrase. We make My Larp Wallet and are not affiliated with MetaMask.

A MetaMask larp is a staged wallet screen used as a prop in a video, skit or demo, not a real MetaMask balance. We make My Larp Wallet, with a dark wallet look of our own and no MetaMask branding, and we are not affiliated with MetaMask. A staged screen is never proof of funds. Never share a recovery phrase.

What "MetaMask larp" means

We make My Larp Wallet and we are not affiliated with MetaMask. Read this as a maker's page about a name people search for. Three different wants hide behind "MetaMask larp wallet", "MetaMask simulator" and "fake MetaMask balance".

A larp wallet, also called a crypto wallet app simulator, is an app that shows a believable crypto wallet screen built from the balances you type in, for videos, skits, pitch decks and demos. It holds no funds and touches no blockchain.

What we offer, and what we do not

My Larp Wallet has one wallet look, our own: dark, with a lavender accent. It does not copy MetaMask's interface, its fox logo or its colors, and we do not name it on the screen. Trademarks belong to their owners. What you get is a believable wallet screen for a scene: your tokens and amounts, live prices for the built-in tokens, a total and a 24h change, opened full screen on a phone after you add it to the home screen.

Why a balance screen in a video must be labeled

A wallet screen reads as fact. A viewer who sees a large balance does not assume it is typed. That is why a short label, on screen and in the caption, is the difference between a skit and a deception. Say skit. Say not real balance. If the video promotes something you sell, the label matters even more.

The rule that matters most sits outside the video. Never show a staged balance to a person to get money, a loan, a sale or trust. A screenshot proves nothing about a wallet, because it is a picture, and any screen can be made to say anything. That includes ours. The FTC lists impersonation and fake investment managers among the common crypto scam tactics.

MetaMask's own security warning

Because "MetaMask" is also a name scammers use, here is what MetaMask itself says. Its support pages state that you should never share your Secret Recovery Phrase with anyone, and that anyone who asks for it is trying to scam you, including its own team. They add that MetaMask does not contact users first, and does not discuss support cases on social media or in direct messages. Its pages on spoofing describe scammers who copy a support account or a site to get at that phrase.

A larp wallet needs none of this. It holds nothing, so it never asks for a phrase, a key or an address. If a "MetaMask simulator" page asks for your phrase, it is the scam version.

If you really need the real app on screen

Some scenes depend on the viewer recognizing a specific app. There are honest routes. Film the real app with a hidden or small balance, as covered in hiding a wallet balance. Draw a stylized insert in a design tool. Or use a screen that reads as "a crypto wallet" without being any one brand, which is what ours does. Our fake crypto wallet app page compares the routes.

A prop, never proof

A MetaMask-style or any other wallet screen made with a larp wallet app is a prop for a video, a skit, a deck or a demo. It is never proof of a balance, and showing it to someone to obtain money or trust is a false statement. Using our app that way breaks our terms.

Questions

What is a MetaMask larp?

It is a staged screen that plays the part of a wallet balance in a video, skit or meme. The balance is typed, not read from a chain. Searchers also use it for a look-alike of a specific wallet, which is a separate thing and one we do not offer.

Is there a MetaMask simulator?

We know of no official one from MetaMask. A larp wallet app can draw a wallet screen from balances you type in, and a test network is the route if you want to learn how a real wallet behaves. Ours is a wallet screen of our own design, not a copy of MetaMask.

Can I fake a MetaMask balance?

You can stage a balance in a clip, and you should label it. You must not show a staged balance to someone to get money, a sale or trust. That is a false statement in any wallet, and it is what turns a prop into a scam. Our terms forbid it.

Does My Larp Wallet look like MetaMask?

No. It has one dark wallet look of our own with a lavender accent. It does not reproduce MetaMask's interface, fox logo or colors. Trademarks belong to their owners, and we are not affiliated with MetaMask.

Will a larp wallet ask for my Secret Recovery Phrase?

Never. It holds no funds, so it has no use for one. MetaMask's own support pages say that anyone who asks for your Secret Recovery Phrase is trying to scam you, and that includes its own team. Treat any page or message that asks for it that way.

Why label a fake balance in a video?

Because viewers cannot tell a staged balance from a real one, and some will act on it. A short note, such as skit or not real, on screen and in the caption protects the viewer and protects you from a platform takedown or a complaint.
