How many ETH for a million dollars
At the saved price of $2,258.06, a million dollars is about 442.86 ETH. There are about 122 million ETH in circulation, so even that large sum is a tiny share of the supply: 0.0004%. Ethereum sits between the two extremes on this site, far fewer coins than a meme token, far more than Bitcoin.
Run it from the other side with 10 ETH. A million dollars then needs $100,000 per coin, 44.3x today's price, and the whole network would be worth $12.2 trillion. That is 7.84x as big as Bitcoin's market cap today and 2.44x as big as Apple's, which is the number to weigh before calling a target realistic.
Figures above use saved CoinGecko prices and supply as of Oct 31, 2026, 22:33 UTC, and Apple's market cap of about $5.00 trillion as of Oct 31, 2026 (companiesmarketcap.com). The calculator swaps in live prices when your browser can reach CoinGecko.
Staking, burning and a supply that can shrink
Ethereum launched in 2015 and moved from mining to proof of stake in September 2022. A validator locks 32 ETH, which is $72,258 at the saved price, so a million-dollar holder could run several. Since 2021, part of every transaction fee is burned, and after the move to proof of stake the amount of new ETH issued fell sharply.
The result is unusual: there is no maximum supply, but when the network is busy more ETH can be burned than is issued, and the supply can flatten or even fall. The calculator uses the circulating supply as reported today, so the market cap column always reflects the coins that exist now.

The flip line against Bitcoin
Ethereum's market cap is $276 billion in the saved prices and Bitcoin's is $1.56 trillion. If Bitcoin stood still, Ethereum would need a price of about $12,759.80 to match it. That single number is the most quoted what if in the sector, and it is the reason the table below includes rows that cross Bitcoin's size.
Look at the 100 ETH row: $10,000 per coin gives $1.22 trillion, which is 78.4% as big as Bitcoin's market cap today. Look at the 10 ETH row: $100,000 per coin gives a network several times larger than Bitcoin is now. Both are what ifs, and the table only shows the arithmetic.

Using the result
Most people who ask this question hold somewhere between one and a few hundred ETH. Type your own count above and read the row that matches. If you would like to show a bag like yours on a wallet screen, the demo is a mockup and a screen like that is never proof of a balance.
Questions
How many Ethereum do I need to be a millionaire?
About 442.86 ETH at the saved price of $2,258.06 from Oct 31, 2026, or 0.0004% of the circulating supply. The live price replaces the saved one when CoinGecko is reachable. (Saved CoinGecko prices as of Oct 31, 2026.)
What price would 10 ETH need to be worth a million dollars?
$100,000 per ETH, which is 44.3x today's price. At that price Ethereum would be worth $12.2 trillion, 7.84x as big as Bitcoin's market cap today. (Saved CoinGecko prices as of Oct 31, 2026.)
Does Ethereum have a maximum supply?
No. Ether is issued to validators and part of every fee is burned, so the supply can flatten or fall when the network is busy. The calculator uses the circulating supply as CoinGecko reports it today.
How the numbers are made
Prices and circulating supply come from CoinGecko. This page ships with a saved copy dated Oct 31, 2026, 22:33 UTC and swaps in live prices when your browser can reach CoinGecko. Nothing you type leaves your device. The comparison company is Apple, at about $5.00 trillion (rounded, read on Oct 31, 2026 from companiesmarketcap.com). Fees, taxes and the price impact of selling are not included.
