The first row is the frame alone at that scale. Other rows are canvas sizes: set the padding and rotation noted, then place the PNG on a background of that size.
A 393 point phone, the size designers know by heart
The iPhone 16 display is 393 × 852 pt, 1179 × 2556 pixels at 3x. A 393 pt width has been a design baseline for several years, so a file designed on an iPhone 15, 15 Pro or 14 Pro drops in without a single change. iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 and iPhone 14 Pro all render the same pixel size, and for this reason one frame covers four models.
The corner radius we read for the glass is 55 pt, smaller than the 62 pt of the newest 6.3 inch phones. That difference is visible: on a 2026 model the corners are rounder. If your mockup sits next to a newer one, the iPhone 16 corner looks tighter.
How the drawn frame is built
Around the glass we draw a black border of 3.6 pt and a metal edge of 1.9 pt, then a soft highlight and darker flanks. The body is 404 × 863 pt, the export with side buttons 408.8 × 863 pt, and 409 × 863 px at 1x for a small web image. The five finishes are black, rose, sage, deep blue and silver.
Pick a gradient background and keep the shadow on for a result that looks lit from above. Choose a solid color if the mockup will go on a slide with its own background, then set the padding to zero and crop nothing.
When the iPhone 16 is the right choice
Pick it when you are updating older material, when your audience still holds this model, or when you want your screen to look like it came from a phone that people actually have. A mockup that shows the newest model is not always more convincing than one that matches the viewer's own phone.
